Sophia "Mom, I have something to tell you. I have decided that I am going to become Catholic. I really want to light the candles. If Bishop Ainge or Bishop White will put candles in our church, then I will be Mormon. But if not, I am going to be Catholic."
Annelise (from the back seat, while helping me make a very tight turn) "Oh mom, you don't have to worry about the car over on this side. It already has some scratches on it."
Ezra (after watching me pay a $50 toll in Spain) "My favorite part of driving on the roads is paying the money to the people. When I grow up, I am going to be the man who takes all of the money. Then I will have lots of money!"
Sophia (In Siena's Duomo) "Can I please, please, please have a coin to light the candles?"
Me "These candles are only for Catholics to light."
Sophia "Well, where are the Mormon candles?"
Me "Okay. What did we learn about the Vatican? Who can tell me which Roman Emperor began the process of building it?"
Sophia "Hmmmmm . . . Andrew Jackson?"
Sophia "Look! We are above the clouds!"
Ezra "Wow! We are in outerspace!"
Sophia "No, Ezra, technically we are in heaven!"
Annelise "Oh Mom look! It's security. I love going through security!"

Maybe Emilie can sing a few of her favorite songs for us in May????? Love that girl, I can't believe she's getting so old.
We would also love to have a talent show - what wonderful and talented grandchildren we have! Love you. Grandma and Grandpa
What a neat experience for Emilie! Singing around the house is awesome too. Is she really the only blonde in the choir? She really stands out. Oh, so fun to see her growing up :)
What a great opportunity for Emilie! And how pretty she looks in that white blouse, with her pretty golden hair.
