Welcome Home, Dad!

Congratulations!
Swim: 1:31 Bike: 7:23 Run: 4:53
Total: 14:10

Unfortunately we had to experience Steve' s Ironman from afar. We spent Saturday keeping tabs on Steve. We were updated by the grandparents who were on the race route; we checked ironman.com's athlete tracking system on my iphone while racing from soccer games, a birthday party, a baseball game and multiple play dates; and we had a quick 10 second phone conversation with Steve between the bike and the run. We heard the cheering crowds and booming announcers in the background and looked up photos throughout the day on the website. Now the kids get to hear first hand from their dad the events of the day, hold the iron medal that was hung around Steve's neck and congratulate him in person. We can't wait until he arrives!

Congrats Steve, that's seriously amazing!

Steve was fantastic. He looked so trim, strong and healthy. He inspired me to lose weight and start planning for another marathon. The Ironman is beyond me but I did see that a 73 year old finished it.

Cute video. It's great to see how proud the kids are of their Ironman dad!
