Sophia "Mom, I have something to tell you. I have decided that I am going to become Catholic. I really want to light the candles. If Bishop Ainge or Bishop White will put candles in our church, then I will be Mormon. But if not, I am going to be Catholic."
Annelise (from the back seat, while helping me make a very tight turn) "Oh mom, you don't have to worry about the car over on this side. It already has some scratches on it."
Ezra (after watching me pay a $50 toll in Spain) "My favorite part of driving on the roads is paying the money to the people. When I grow up, I am going to be the man who takes all of the money. Then I will have lots of money!"
Sophia (In Siena's Duomo) "Can I please, please, please have a coin to light the candles?"
Me "These candles are only for Catholics to light."
Sophia "Well, where are the Mormon candles?"
Me "Okay. What did we learn about the Vatican? Who can tell me which Roman Emperor began the process of building it?"
Sophia "Hmmmmm . . . Andrew Jackson?"
Sophia "Look! We are above the clouds!"
Ezra "Wow! We are in outerspace!"
Sophia "No, Ezra, technically we are in heaven!"
Annelise "Oh Mom look! It's security. I love going through security!"

Congratulations! What a witty way to spread the news! It was very fun to watch the kids' blank looks as the clues mounted and then to hear "I know! I know! I know!" in the background. And then cute Sophia dissolving into tears.... I'd love your recipe for fortune cookies so I can give Dad bad news in a more creative way ("Someone bought a new necklace today" "Surprise! The Corolla has a crack in the windshield"). We'll look forward to getting acquainted with your new family member. Love, Mom
Camille,
Wonderful!!!!!!!!!!! This will be one very lucky child to be born into your familly.
love, Dad
Congrats on the new addition to the family! The video was definitely a creative and entertaining way to let everyone know!
Fantastic! What fun news! I have to say I can only think of one other contemporary with six, ranging from 14 to newborn. My friend, Elise, just announced her sixth with a black and white photo card for Halloween.
Front of the card- (white font on black) the trick:
how to have a half dozen chicks
Interior left (black font on white) the treat: emma christine swenson (adorable photo and stats)
Interior right photo of the five girls surrounding baby emma with wishes for happy holidays
Just think, you will have your own half dozen and how courageous you are to have them so close together in age! If anyone can handle it, it's you!
Congratulations and much love to all,
Carolyn
Awesome! When do you take delivery on the Ford Econoline Van? We look forward to hearing all the details about the pregnancy.
